Rev. Jaime Joel Farias is an ordained minister with the Great Plains Annual Conference UMC. Rev. Jaime Farias started serving at Cozad Parkview UMC in 2003 and Lexington Hispanic Ministries but in 2010 he was appointed at Laurel-Logan Center UMC serving as their pastor seven years. Then, in 2017, he was appointed at Dakota City- Homer UMC, being their pastor for three years. Now he has been appointed to Living Faith UMC in Omaha.
Pastor Jaime, as he likes to be called, has been married with Damaris Martinez for 40 years. They have three daughters, Aydee, Cesia, and Nancy. They also have five grandchildren. Pastor Jaime, Damaris, and daughters were born in Mexico. Yet, they are now U.S. Naturalized Citizens.
Pastor Jaime Farias enjoys music, movies, and sports. Yet, reading is one of his favorite hobbies. He is passionate in preaching, teaching the Bible, and sharing the Good News through evangelism and discipleship.
Pastor Jaime graduated from John Wesley Methodist Seminary in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico. He also studied English Language at Chihuahua State University.
