Mission's Ministry

Jesus Christ was the living example of servanthood. Our Methodist tradition from John Wesley to the present reminds us that faith in Christ is real when it leads to acts that reflect the love of Christ to society. God has gifted all of us with talents and abilities to strengthen and bless the Kingdom of God. The Spirit of God calls us to engage in acts of outreaching love, and the great mystery is that when we do this it is as if we are doing it unto Christ.

Our Mission

To be a living expression of Gods love and good works by using our abilities, interests, talents, gifts, personality and life experience to serve those who are suffering in our community, state, nation and the world.

The following are just a few examples of Missions in action at Living Faith:

Camp Fontanelle

Camp Fontanelle is a facility of the Nebraska Conference of the United Methodist Church. Camp Fontanelle seeks an intentional integration with the seasons of God's natural world and the seasons of people's lives to provide an opportunity for growth. Missions voluteers repair bridges, trails and other outdoor work including new building construction, carpentry & painting.

Royale Family Kids Camp

Each year, over 3 million American children are reported as abused... physically attacked, emotionally damaged, sexually molested, or severely neglected - often by the people they have loved and trusted most. The camps extend Christian love and care, with adults modeling a non-violent, positive way of life as an alternative to many of the negative, abusive situations which abused and neglected children have faced. Volunteers sponsor a birthday party celebration at the camp for theses children.

Release Ministries

Release Ministries Mission is to affect the lives of youth in the Juvenile Justice System with the life changing message of Jesus Christ. Volunteers conduct Bible studies, prayer walks, and ministry to incarceated youth in crisis held in the Douglas County Youth Detention Center.

Together, Inc. of Metropolitan Omaha

Providing free emergency help in an attitude of neighborly love, Together, Inc. is supported by contributors from churches, synagogues, businesses, foundations, and individuals of nearly every faith.
